Experts are reporting a hug rise in Flu cases through out the United States. One area hit hard has been in North Texas.
The problem with this year's flu strain is a highly contagious respiratory virus. The Dallas County Health and Human Services provided a surveillance report that shows a 1,000 % increase in cases.
Dr. Nathan J. Ham, DO from Medical City Las Colinas says that there are "similarities between COVID-19, the flu and cold symptoms, but the difference is the time that it takes to begin showing symptoms after exposure varies."
In order to know the difference and check your symptoms, a chart has been made available that shows the difference between the flu, COVID-19 and an ordinary cold virus.
The CDC also recommends getting vaccinated to protect and reduce the risk of hospitalization from COVID-19 and the flu.
